About This Course

This course is designed for individuals who will be teaching the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard to an adult audience. Students will learn effective presentation skills and the principles of teaching adults. It is recommended that participants either attend the one-day Bloodborne Pathogen course or have some prior familiarity with the topic of Certified Bloodborne Pathogens before enrolling in this course.

As part of the training, students will be required to develop and present a 30-minute training program during the course. This hands-on experience allows participants to apply their teaching skills and gain practical experience in delivering Bloodborne Pathogens training to others.

What You'll Learn

After completing this Train-the-Trainer program, participants will be able to: Understand bloodborne pathogens, transmission routes, and workplace exposure risks. Apply the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard requirements in training and workplace practice. Teach employees proper use of PPE, safe handling of sharps, and spill cleanup procedures. Develop and deliver effective training sessions on bloodborne pathogen awareness.
