Upon successful completion of the Certified Petroleum Environmental, Health & Safety Manager – Drilling & Servicing Certification (PEHSM) course, participants will be able to:
Understand OSHA regulations, pipeline safety requirements, and petroleum industry standards governing drilling, servicing, construction, operation, and maintenance activities.
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs for petroleum and hazardous liquid pipeline operations.
Identify hazards associated with drilling operations, pipeline systems, heavy equipment, hazardous energy, confined spaces, and petroleum products, and implement effective risk control measures.
Conduct workplace inspections, compliance audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to improve operational safety and regulatory compliance.
Lead contractor safety programs, employee training, safety reporting, and performance monitoring across drilling and pipeline projects.
Apply safe work practices including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work systems, emergency response planning, spill prevention, and environmental protection measures.
Manage public awareness initiatives, community engagement activities, and regulatory documentation supporting safe pipeline operations.
Promote continuous improvement, operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and a strong safety culture throughout petroleum drilling, servicing, transmission, and distribution facilities.
To enroll in the CPEHSM – Pipeline Safety program, candidates must have completed the following courses:

IASHEP Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Course
IASHEP Fall Protection Course
Certified HAZWOPER Training Specialist (CHTS) requirement: Participants must have completed a HAZWOPER 40-Hour Course or equivalent before taking the CHTS course.
